{"id":523,"date":"2012-10-31T12:18:39","date_gmt":"2012-10-31T17:18:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/synetech.ddns.net\/blogs\/smarticles\/?p=523"},"modified":"2025-02-13T16:35:16","modified_gmt":"2025-02-13T21:35:16","slug":"monsters-are-people-too-literally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/synetech.ddns.net\/blogs\/smarticles\/2012\/10\/31\/monsters-are-people-too-literally\/","title":{"rendered":"Monsters are People Too\u2026 Literally!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Most of the classic monsters are not actually separate species but <em>humans<\/em> that have been damaged or changed somehow.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Vampires<\/em> are just humans that have been infected with a virus<\/li>\n<li><em>Werewolves<\/em> are also humans that have been infected with a virus<\/li>\n<li><em>Zombies<\/em> are likewise virus-infected humans<\/li>\n<li><em>Mummies<\/em> are dead humans that have somehow come back (usually through magic)<\/li>\n<li><em>Skeletons<\/em> are the same as zombies\/mummies, but without their flesh<\/li>\n<li><em>Witches<\/em> are humans who use magic (usually for evil)<\/li>\n<li><em>Ghosts<\/em> are dead humans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Even more contemporary monsters like Jason Voorhees, Freddy Kruger, Michael Myers, Pinhead, Chucky, creepy Japanese girls, etc. are just humans that have been changed in some manner.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, there <em>are<\/em> some monsters that are not human whatsoever, for example the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Godzilla, demons, and such.<\/p>\n<p>It is interesting however to realize that most monsters tend to be human.
