I taped most of it but ended up accidentally erasing it later. I recall a lot of the lyrics (or at least what they sounded like) and clearly remember the DJ calling it <em>Buggin\u2019 to the Boogie<\/em> by the Ragga Muffin Rascals (and mentioning that it has \u201ca whole lotta samples in that one\u201d. One sample\u2014in fact the whole chorus\u2014was from the end of <strong>A Taste Of Honey<\/strong>\u2019s song <em>Boogie Oogie Oogie<\/em>, and another is Ritchie Valens&#8217; <strong>La Bamba<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the lyrics that I\u2014sort of\u2014remember:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2026<br \/>buntin\u2019 to a bake in the pie,<br \/>one skate too many knock in the eye<br \/>kick it to the club, a flake kick the can<br \/>jibaway, jibaway, jibaway Sam<br \/>I\u2019m still young and I\u2019m still a rookie,<br \/>still in school, and I\u2019m still playin\u2019 hooky<br \/>I got the mic and I\u2019m shoulder neckin\u2019 it<br \/>\u2026<br \/>??? little boy blue,<br \/>Saul\u2019s on the boss on Scooby-Dooby-Doo<br \/>Jack be nimble and Jack be quick and,<br \/>??? cause my Jack\u2019s a-kickin\u2019<br \/>\u2026<br \/>cut into the line like the tip of a razor,<br \/>??? a new school laser<br \/>the R to the A to the S to the C-A-L,<br \/>from that Catrice so it seems like Hell<br \/>San Antoinecho\u2019s late for the bell<br \/>???<br \/>wrote enough to make my pocket swell<br \/>???<br \/>D-E-Ace and I&#8217;m out!<br \/>\u2026<br \/>dance now, boogie oogie oogie,<br \/>dance now, boogie oogie oogie,<br \/>\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I\u2019ve checked around and it seems that Ragga Muffin Rascals changed their name to Rascalz.
